Una Carta de Introducción

Al Investigador de la Verdad:

Quiero que usted vea por si mismo como una persona puede extraviarse hacia una falsa religión si no se cuida. Esto me pasó a mí, debido a mi falta de conocimiento de la Biblia, y una falta de fe en mis propias oraciones. Yo quise encontrar la religión verdadera, pero no comprendí que lo que me faltaba era desarrollar una relación personal con Dios y con su Hijo, Cristo Jesús.

Cualquier cosa que le lleve lejos de Dios y de su Hijo Jesucristo le guiará a una muerte eterna. Algunas cosas que a mí me desviaron del único y verdadero Dios fueron los ídolos, la repetición vana de oraciones recitadas, las enseñanzas falsas, y la muerte viviente del mormonismo.

Cuando yo he tomado decisiones en la vida, o cuando para mí éstas se me decidieron, yo tuve que elegir cual sería la mejor para mí según la información, la experiencia, y la «inspiración» que yo tuviera en ese momento. A través de mis oraciones y experiencias iluminadoras, me di cuenta de que tenía que haber elegido diferente.

Hoy día, procuro vivir una vida sencilla, concentrándome en la Biblia como guía personal. Según estos versículos vivos: «¿Cuál es el primer mandamiento de todos? Jesús le respondió: El primer mandamiento de todos es: Oye, Israel; el Señor nuestro Dios, el Señor uno es. Y amarás al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón, y con toda tu alma, y con toda tu mente y con todas tus fuerzas. Este es el principal mandamiento. Y el segundo es semejante: Amarás a tu prójimo como a ti mismo. No hay otro mandamiento mayor que éstos» (Marcos 12:28-31). Estas son las propias palabras de Jesucristo. Fueron grabadas en la Palabra de Dios. Yo las creo por ser verdad.

El Evangelio es sencillo y puro. Cuando el hombre intercambia sus propios deseos con la voluntad de Dios, se complican las cosas.

Pienso que la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días (Mormones: abreviado LDS, en inglés, o SUD, en español) es la falsa doctrina mejor vestida que conozco. ¿Cómo y por qué me asocié con los mormones? ¿Cómo pude creer lo que enseñaron?

¡Las cosas escondidas no se ven con facilidad! Comprender cómo y por qué esto pudo ocurrir, para que usted no cometa los mismos errores, tenemos que comenzar «en mi principio».

A Letter of Introduction

To the seeker of truth,

I want you to see for yourself how a person can be lead away into a cult if they are not careful. It happened to me because of my lack of knowledge in the Bible, faith in my own prayers, and a personal relationship with God, and His Son Jesus Christ. It is your choice and your responsibility to find the truth.

In my opinion anything which takes us away from God, and His Son Jesus Christ, leads us away to eternal death. Some of the things which led me away and could you from the one and only true God were idols, vain repetition in memorized prayers, false teachings, and the living death of Mormonism.

I made choices in my life and choices were made for me. I had to decide what was best for me with what information, experience, and "inspiration" I had at the moment. As time went on, I often found out through hindsight, more knowledge, more experience, and more personal inspiration through my own personal and direct prayers that different choices needed to be made.

Now I strive to live a simple life concentrating on the Holy Bible as my guide. I live by these scripture verses: "And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, 'Which is the first commandment of all?' And Jesus answered him, 'The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.' " (Mark 12:28-31). These are Jesus Christ's own words. They were recorded in the word of God. I believe them to be true.

The gospel is simple and pure. It is man mixing his desire with God's desire that complicates things.

I think that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the best dressed cult that I know of, personally. How and why did I join the Mormons? How could I believe what they taught?

Things that are hidden are not easily seen! To understand how and why this could happen, so you can prevent the same mistakes you need to begin, "In my beginning."
